Small Repairs Grant Trust

During 2022 Annual Town Meeting, the Town of Boxford created the Boxford Small Repair Grants Trust (“trust”) to advance the public purpose of ensuring the maintenance of safe and sanitary housing for income-qualified residents who are 60 years of age or older or who have a permanent disability. The trust was ultimately approved by the state legislature, and the authorizing statute can be found here.

The trust is governed by a board of trustees and the board shall grant funds as it deems appropriate to achieve the public purpose of the trust, stated above. If you are interested in applying for an award from the trust, please first review the "program description" and "processing of a grant application" documents, which provide additional information about the program and will explain how to submit an application for funding from the trust. The grant application and grant agreement documents are also linked below; both documents will need to be completed in full and returned to the Town Administrator's office for your application to be considered. The Town Administrator's office is located on the second floor of Town Hall (7A Spofford Road) and applications can also be submitted electronically by email to BSweeney@BoxfordMA.gov.

Please direct any questions that you have to Assistant Town Administrator Brendan Sweeney (BSweeney@BoxfordMA.gov or 978-887-6740).
