Andrews Farm Water Update

At 3:35 PM Monday, July 24, 2023,  the Town was made aware that the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection has notified the Andrews Farm Water Company that the boil water order has ended. 

Beginning last week, Weston & Sampson collected the required samples for testing to confirm that problematic bacteria levels do not exist.  Because the Andrews Farm Water Company refused to conduct this testing, even though it is its responsibility to do so, the Town agreed to pay for the cost of the testing on behalf of the Andrews Farm residents.  The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection lifted the water order based on the favorable test results.

Residents should expect correspondence from the Andrews Farm Water Company with detailed information on the lifting of the Boil Water Order, as it is required to notify water users.
