Teacher Resources

Library Tours for elementary school classes are available. Your students will learn where to find materials in the library, and create an original story as a group. Contact Children’s Librarian Josh Kennedy at jkennedy@boxfordlibrary.org to arrange your class visit. Josh is also available to visit preschools for an on-site storytime during the school year.

Did you know about the database Kids Infobits, available for free through the Merrimack Valley Library Consortium? This offers kid-friendly information on a wide variety of interesting topics, as well as a special “Teacher Toolbox” that deals with evaluating online information, citations, and other useful research concepts. It also provides worksheets for students to use.

Teachers – have a big assignment for your students? Please let Children’s Librarian Josh Kennedy know (jkennedy@boxfordlibrary.org), so that we may gather and set aside materials about the topics you need! We can also request materials from other libraries in our consortium.

Boxford and Masconomet students who have required summer reading can find the books they need at Boxford Town Library! We purchase multiple copies of these to have available during the summer.

Browse our special section of books for Parents and Teachers anytime. You will find this section in the Library children’s room, on the tall shelves above the Early Reader books.
