Conservation Commission
The Boxford Conservation Commission is composed of seven volunteer members appointed by the Board of Selectmen for renewable three year terms, and is supported by a full-time Agent, and a part-time Assistant Administrator.
The Commission is responsible for administrating the provisions of the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act, M.G.L. chapter 131, section 40, and Regulations 310 C.M.R. 10.00, the Town of Boxford Wetlands Protection Bylaw, Town Code chapter 192, and regulations chapter 375, and several other state and town laws, regulations, and policies. The Commission also manages over 750 acres of protected Conservation Land in town, which is open to the public.
