Boxford Receives 2022 Green Community Grant Award

On August 12, 2022, the Department of Energy Resources announced their approval of a $61,305 Green Community grant to the Town of Boxford. This grant is for the purpose of assisting in the purchase of a new Hybrid Police Cruiser and for funding improved weatherization at both the East and the West Fire Stations.
Since being designated as a Green Community in 2019, Boxford has received nearly $393,000 in Green Community grants. These grants have helped fund projects in Boxford that reduce emissions and save money by making our municipal buildings and vehicles more efficient.
