Fire Department
Mission Statement The Mission of the Boxford Fire Department is to provide superior quality emergency and non-emergency customer service to the residents of Boxford, visitors and neighboring communities. We are committed to serving with the highest standard of integrity in a courteous manner to protect life, property and the environment. General Fire Department Information The Boxford Fire Department consists of forty members working out of two stations. To provide the optimum coverage for the Town of Boxford we are one department but operate out of two stations. The East Station is located at 6 Middleton Road and is where the Fire Chief keeps his office along with the Fire Prevention and Education Division,building plan reviews, and is the home of the East Captain and two East Lieutenants. The West Fire Station at 585 Main Street is home location for our three West Lieutenants. Both fire stations have twenty firefighters each. All fire supression personnel are emergency medical trained at the First Responder level with over half the department trained as EMT's. Currently the Boxford Fire Department employees three full-time personnel, the Chief, one career Lieutenant and one firefighter. They work Monday through Friday between the hours of 6 am and 4 pm. Other times the stations are staffed by on-call firefighters.
